Group Life COVID-19 Mortality Survey Report Series

The SOA Research Institute announces the Group Life COVID-19 Mortality Survey Report Series, which gathers a high-level view of U.S. group term life insurance mortality experience since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic as compared to a pre-pandemic baseline period. These reports will measure results in total and by broad age group, industry category, geographic region, and cause of death.

The final quarterly update of group life mortality experience including data through December 31, 2024, is now available. The SOA Research Institute will produce the first quarterly update of Group Life Mortality for 2025 in May 2025.
