Timing of Syllabus Publication

The syllabus for each Fellowship course is published annually in May. The SOA plans to fully update the syllabus for the FSA-level exams only once each year, with those updates taking effect with the November sitting.

The SOA will announce any interim changes well in advance of the following exam sitting, giving candidates plenty of time for preparation. These interim changes could include new textbook editions, case study updates, or regulatory changes and will be prominently noted on the course’s homepage.
