ILA 201-U Valuation and Advanced Product and Risk Management, U.S.
The Valuation and Advanced Product and Risk Management, U.S. course is the second part of the two-course sequence in the Individual Life and Annuities practice area. Candidates may take either ILA 201-I or ILA 201-U as part of their sequence (but may not receive credit for both).
Course Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of ILA 201-U Valuation and Advanced Product and Risk Management, U.S., you will understand the following learning objectives:
- Apply U.S. valuation principles and methods applicable to individual life insurance and annuity products issued by U.S. life insurance companies;
- How to explain and apply the methods, approaches and tools of financial capital management for life insurance company under a U.S. regulatory framework;
- Types of life insurance risks, the impacts of diversification, crediting rating agency frameworks, and the assessment of risk management; and
- The fundamentals of value creation and inforce management techniques for life and annuity products.
