GH 101 Benefits and Pricing
The Benefits and Pricing course is the first part of the two-course sequence in the Group and Health Insurance practice area.
Course Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of GH 101 Benefits and Pricing, you will understand the following learning objectives:
- How to describe plan provisions typically offered under short duration contracts (medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, group life);
- How to calculate and recommend a manual rate for each of the contracts described above;
- How to apply principles of pricing, risk assessment, and funding to an underwriting situation; and
- How to evaluate and recommend an employee benefit strategy.
