In Memory of Sheldon Reich

Sheldon Reich, FSA 1970, MAAA 1966, passed away on November 4, 2020 in Monroe Township, New Jersey at the age of 88.    Born in Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from Brooklyn College and had a long career as an actuary, especially in product development.

Sheldon is lovingly remembered by Shirley, his wife of 61 years. Their three daughters and their husbands, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren will miss his thoughtful devotion. 

Sheldon traveled the world with his family, watched over them, and never let them miss a boat!  They visited all seven continents, viewed a space launch in Cape Canaveral, and saw a total solar eclipse three times. Sheldon’s favorite place was the library.  He was an avid reader and always had a book on hand.  He had a wonderful talent for sketching and drawing with oil pastels.  He was a kind, creative, quiet soul.
